Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.<br />And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not."<br /><br />Jesus says that if He bears witness of Himself, His witness is not true. He then says that the Father bears witness of Him. If Jesus and the Father are the same person Jesus would be bearing witness of Himself. Not only would this make Jesus bear false witness, making that witness invalid, it would leave the only valid witness to be John, only providing one witness to Christ's divinity, not fulfilling the law of two or three witnesses.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
